Just giving my opinion. I don't think that hardcore games with complicated stories and long cut-scenes usually sell a lot of consoles, but I could be wrong. I hope I'm wrong.
Getting MGS4 first thing tomorrow. Can't see MGS4 moving any PS3s though. Every metal gear fan already has a PS3, and people who aren't metal gear fans have no idea what it is. Hope I'm wrong though. Hope MGS4 sells a bunch of PS3s.
I really hope Team Ico shows us something. New FFXIII info would also be nice. I expect nintendo to show off "Wii Vacuum", the new vacuuming simulator for the wii.

I can't believe you call yourself "voice of reason". The PS3 is outselling the 360. The PS3 is $400. Blue Dragon, Eternal Sonata, Enchanted Arms, etc. have not sold well. Why are you acting like the 360 has won the console war?
The PS3 and 360 are labeled next-gen because they are orders of magnitude more powerfull than the PS2 and original xbox. The wii is only 1.5 times more powerfull than a gamecube, thus the wii is not next-gen. PCs are constantly being upgraded and changed all the time, they aren't static like consoles, so therefore they don't have "generations".
What the wii needs more than anything else are games with AA. When I first saw Super Mario Galaxy I let out an audible gasp because the jaggies were so bad. I was honestly shocked at how bad the jaggies were.

Maybe its true that the PS3 is getting the A team and the 360 is getting the B team, but at least the 360 has some JRPGs to play right now, and in 2008. As far as RPGs go, the PS3 is a vast wasteland right now. Yes, FFXIII will destroy all other JRPGs, but when is it coming out? A year? Two? Ever? I love my PS3, physically, but thank God for my 360 and lost odyssey, star ocean, and infinite discovery. At least the 360 has SOMETHING out there for the RPG fan. Sony you better put out Valkyria C...
How can these old movies be in high-def? I thought you had to shoot a movie with high-def cameras in order for them to be in high-def. These old 80s or even 90s movies can't be in true high-def can they?

Will the PS3 ever have an RPG? Ever? If white knight cronicles gets delayed to 2009 the only RPG the PS3 will have this entire year is fallout 3. A big part of the reason I bought a PS3 was for JRPGs, and here it is mid-2008 and where in the hell are they? FFXIII will probably get released in 2010, and what will fill the RPG void until it's release? NOTHING! G-damn it Sony, put out a f-ing RPG and DO IT NOW!!!!!

MGS4 will no doubt be an incredible game, but it is not a system seller. The average console owner only has a vague idea of what the metal gear series is, if they have any idea at all. With the exception of hardcore gamers, nobody has any idea what the hell MGS4 is. Outside of Japan MGS4 won't sell a lot of copies, and it certainly won't sell any PS3s. You're acting like MGS4 is GTA4. Don't get me wrong, MGS4 will be a great game, but popular? No, not at all.
